Good questions
A little help before your next discovery.
Get to know the models, our way to play and what you can explore in this labhopper demo.
What is labhopper?
labhopper brings hands-on science models and open questions together. In this demo you can explore structures with a bridge, reflection with a periscope, energy with a wooden solar car, and balance with a seesaw.
Who are these discoveries for?
This demo is designed for families with children aged 6–12. Each kit needs its own verified age guidance; follow that guidance and the included instructions before use.
Will my child need a grown-up?
Plan to explore together. The amount of adult help depends on the kit and the child. Read all instructions and safety warnings first, especially for small parts, tools or electrical components.
Where should we start?
Choose a question that catches your eye. How do the bridge pieces connect? How does a periscope change your view? What connects light and motion in the solar-car model? What happens when a seesaw is out of balance? Open a model page to see its theme and discovery prompts.
What comes inside each kit?
The pictures show the reference models in our catalogue. The source records for these four models note that paint and brushes are not included. The final pack contents, tools and instructions will be listed for each order-ready product; the pictures alone are not a packing list.
Are all the models made from the same materials?
The source describes the solar-car model as wooden. Materials, coatings and component details need to be checked separately for each final kit. We do not assume that two models use the same materials because they appear in the same collection.
How can we explore a model together?
Begin with the instructions for the particular kit. Notice what its parts do, describe what you observe and ask one question at a time. Follow the stated safety guidance when choosing what to try; the discovery prompts here are conversation starters, not replacement assembly or safety instructions.
Can I order these kits now?
This is a preview of our first science edit. Prices, stock, delivery destinations and returns terms are not yet confirmed, so these reference kits cannot be purchased here. You can browse the models and explore the demo without placing an order.
Will labhopper deliver to Australia?
Australia is the intended first market. Delivery coverage, dispatch time, shipping charges and tracking details will be shown before sales open. The current demo does not offer a delivery date or shipping quote.
What happens if a kit arrives damaged or has a missing part?
Our planned support flow starts with the order information and clear photos of the item and packaging. The final support channel, replacement options and returns process will be published before orders open. The service sections on the model pages explain what is being prepared.
